Fusing Class

Fusing and slumping, at its most simple, involves cutting and layering pieces of colorful glass and heating up in a kiln until they soften, fuse and bend into simple molds. The process lends itself to functional pieces. In this class we produce a number of objects such as dishes, bowls, coasters, as well as wall art and sculptural items. You will learn step-by-step how to use the simple hand tools to work with glass creatively and safely.

The advantage of a small class is that you can experiment with many different effects and have an experienced adviser on hand at each stage. The course includes 4 sessions, 3 hours each session.
